Firmware update

The module is equipped with the possibility of firmware updates. Firmware is delivered in form of a .bin or .hex file.

1. Run the Inveo RFID Config software as an administrator.
2. Go to the Programmer tab, set the cursor in the field shown below, press Ctrl + Alt + P.

3. An additional Bootloader tab will show up. Open the expandable Firmware list and select FILE.

4. Click Update and locate the firmware upgrade file. After clicking Open, a dialogue window requesting to run the module in Bootloader mode will appear on the screen.
5. Power-up the device in bootloader mode: disconnect the reader from the PC and connect it back while holding the RESET button. The power LED should flash about 4 times a second. Without releasing the RESET buton, click OK in the dialogue window.

6. The following notifications string will be displayed if the update process proceeds successfully:

Connecting...
Erasing...
Programming...
Programming completed. Application started.

8. Using the Reset to DEFAULT button, restore the device to factory settings.
